September 2007 - The dinner buffet had a very good selection of tasty dishes. Some of them had become quite cold, however. The decor is quite stunning and the downtown location is excellent. Our server was very curt and unfriendly, and hearing that we did not have a reservation, seated us in the worst possible table in the establishment, right at the kitchen door, though the place was maybe half full and there were numerous available tables in decent locations. He did not explain that the buffet was (apparently) the only option, nor did he tell us the price. He did not offer to take drink orders. We were left sitting for well over 10 minutes, waiting to place a drink order. We gave up and helped ourselves to the buffet and when we were half way done our meal, another server filled our water glasses, and we were finally able to order drinks and nan bread, which, in my opinion should be included with a $16.95 Indian buffet. When we were finished our server removed our plates & we said we were finished. He did not bring our bill, and appeared to be scrupulously avoiding us. We finally went to the front to pay. I should add that we were never rude, demanding or difficult patrons in any way, so there was no justification to be so neglected. If not having a reservation was an issue, we would have found another place to dine & would hopefully have had a more pleasant experience. I found the food and drinks to be overpriced and the service was quite poor, really inexcusable for a buffet!
