July 2008 - Well this is not the first time we stayed at this motel. My family has been staying at this motel for many years. We have seen several different owners, and the current owners are very friendly and willing to help no matter what. The rooms are very well kept and very nicely decorated. I like the additions made to the rooms; the fridge and the microwave for example. I found the bathrooms very roomy and I liked the bathtub instead of the same shower. During conversation with the owners we learned that there are updates planned for the next year, and we can't wait to see them first hand.

December 2006 - The Parkway in is very close to the park, to the gas station and to food. It's clean and affordable. However, if your looking for comfort, not just affordability and location, I'd suggest you go elsewhere. There is no hot water at all. None. Being as I'm used to portage trips, this wasn't a big deal for me. Also, I was only staying two nights. If your planning on showering, or even washing up, it's very, very cold. The beds could be better, but it is a cheap motel, so really, thats being picky. The hosts speak poor english, which makes it difficult to book, so do so online, not over the phone or in person. They are very friendly and did offer us two joining rooms, rather than the one room with two beds that we booked and they didn't charge us extra. As said, the room was spotless if not on the small side, and the service, though hard to understand, was good. Overall, for the price we paid per night, It was a good deal.
