August 2007 - I've just spent the last summer weekend at Carmelita By the Lake in Haliburton,Ontario. Carmelita By the Lake, is the most beautiful B&B I have ever visited, and my husband and I stay in B&B an average of 4 times per year. The service is unbeatable, and the extra Angela and her staff does for their guest are more than anyone could ask for or expect in their B&B. Upon arrival to your room there is a gift waiting. I have never had such quality robes and sheet next to my skin. There is not one area of Carmelita By the Lake anyone could find not acceptable; it goes beyond acceptable. Ask for anything and you will get or they will call until they find it for you. In home services such as massages are offered by bringing in a CMT. I can't say enough, how beautiful the environment is and the service is more than paid for. I watched all the other guest in hah when they walked in and saw the environment and the welcome that awaited. Carmelita By the Lake, is the most beautiful B&B I have seen in the area. You won't be disappointed. My husband and I, and all the other guest were not. We had an experience beyond what we could have expected

July 2007 - I have just spent the July 1st weekend at Carmelita By the Lake. WOW... is the only world I can use to describe it. I have never seen anything so beautiful and the service is beyond anything I've ever received, even staying in a high end hotel. Angela and her staff truly understand customer service. There is nothing you want that they cannot provide or get for for you. This is the most beautiful surrounding and you can see the love that is put into Carmelita By the Lake, to make it the ultimate environment for their guests. Talk about Boutique Chic, talk about the finest linens, I have never felt 1000 thread count sheets until now, talk about the heavenly bed, talk about some of the most amazing teas I have ever had, and even Blue Mountain Coffee is provided(one of the most expensive coffee per pound). I don't think I can say enouch to justify this place, I just know you are getting more than the cost of renting a room. Angela and her staff makes you feel so special and you feel like its all about you. I was even able to arrange an in-house massage and reflexology service, which was amazing. You will be blown away, staying at Carmelita By the Lake. Oh hey, there is a gift waiting in your room upon arrival...and it was an amazing gift.

July 2007 - I don't know where to start to describe how beautiful Carmelita By the Lake is. The property is beautiful, the service out if this world and all the extra that are done for the guest cannot be matched. Angela and her staff understand what escaping is all about and they provide a wonderful escape for their guests.

June 2007 - I am sitting here at Carmelita By the Lake Bed & Breakfast while I write this review. I can't believe the value you get for this SPECTACULAR B&B. I had to ensure everyone come and if nothing else just drop in and take a look at this property. I spend time in Haliburton every June and since Carmelita only opened January 2007, this is the 1st time I am staying here and of all the other B&B I know in Haliburton, nothing matches up in value, environment, service and quality. I am booked to be here for a week, but I've actually just requested another week (although I have to leave on Saturday) but I would stay here forever. Angela and her staff are the most friendly and do they ever beleive in service. It is all about you, and whatever you need to make your stay even more beyond all the great service already offered. Another wonderful surprise, whenever you check into your room, Carmelita By the Lake have a gift for you, and these gifts are spectacular. I have never seen any of these services in the highest rated 5* hotel I have stayed in for pleasure or business. I can see why you can hardly get a room at Carmelita By the Lake. If you experience Carmelita By the Lake, you will never stay anywhere else. I have vacation again in August, I am trying right now to book it, even prepared to pay more for rooms, but guess what, its full. The cost for a room at Carmelita By the Lake, for the service and value, is nothing. If I was Angela, I would charge twice what the current pricing are, because you are geeting way more than what she is charging. Lets get down to the girly things(although my boyfriend too is impressed). The decor is to die for, the quality of every piece in the property is more that what I have seen in any 5* hotel or resort. I can't say enough about the service, like the quality of food served, the teas are to die for. The Mimosa...WOW, and talk about putting your customer first and making you special, a gift waiting for you when you get to your room, and lets not forget those robes....top quality. I could say so much, and still not give enough to Carmelita By the Lake. You just have to see it. I know sometime in the year there is a B&B tour in Haliburton, if you are a local, go see the quality a business professional is doing in your local community. This is a place you should be proud of, that Canadians, US and Europeans get to see.

June 2007 - How can I describe Carmelita By the lake Bed and Breakfast..one word...WOW!! I visit Haloburton every June and have stayed at every B&B located in the area, and I can say; there is not one other property that comes close to Carmelita By the lake Bed and Breakfast. This is the must beautiful resort property I have ever seen. You can see the passion and that the first priority that the owner Angela and her staff thinks of are their customers. I stayed in the Monroe room which just blew my mind, but before checking out I asked if I could tour the other rooms, and oh my goodness, it appears every room is just more beautiful than the other. I have seen beuatiful pieces of things that I have never seen, not even in the most upscale of decor magazine or hotels, like the fireplace that hangs off the wall in the Bogart Room, and my goodness, take a look at The Grotto located in the lower level. You would not beleive it. Its its own apartment(a loft). The service, I have nevere had such great breakfast in my life, not even in restaurants I have been to in NY, LA or Europe. This is a treat everyone should experience. In house massage, reflexology service can be arranged and was that amazing. I can't say enough about Carmelita By the Lake, the staff, the service and oh hey, there is a gift waiting in your room upon arrival, and we are talking amazing.

March 2007 - Hello my name is Brenda. Carmelita By the Lake is a new B&B in Haliburton that my husband and I stayed at for my birthday in March. I don't know where to start, this is the most beautiful, LOVED environment I have ever seen. No cost was spared to make Carmelita By the Lake an inviting, warm and exciting place to stay. We have booked every special occassion we have in our lives this year at Carmelita By the Lake. There is nowhere else I would stay in Haliburton now that I have found Carmelita By the Lake. The environments, services, and my god, mimosa with breakfast!!!!!!!!!!! Angela and her staff makes everyday worth celebrating. I can't wait for my next visit(May 24th weekend)

February 2007 - WOW, I have seen many B&B and five star hotel, nothing compares to Carmelita By the Lake. The rooms....600 thread count sheets, feels like silk. Furnishing, no cost was spared for making customer feel more than special. The service....I could not ask for anything more. I have never had such special treatment or service, even in the 5 star hotels I have stayed around the world. The innkeeper, Angela, does she understand customer service and what guest are looking for when they leave home. My wife thought we lived in an amazing surrounding, she now wants to copy everything she's seen at Carmelita By the Lake. We have told so many people. We have it booked most of the summer weekends, and if money was no object, we would be there every week and weekends. I highly recommend Carmelita By the Lake, Bed and Breakfast, its the nicest, friendliest and one with the most services I have ever come across having spending over ten years in B&B's and five star hotels
