April 2007 - This bar has now closed. The premises are under renovation, soon to reopen as a high-end restaurant.
Fiddler's was a fixture in the Cambridge scene, famous mostly for the big-name recording acts which played mid-week prior to weekend gigs in Toronto. It was even more well known for the two ghosts roaming the place at night. Not so well-known is that the former (and first) Galt Post Office was designed by the same architect who designed the parliament buildings in Ottawa.
As much as Cambridge needs some better quality eating establishments, Fiddler's Green will be missed by many.
