February 2008 - We were looking for a place last minute in Guelph, Ontario, we have stayed at Super 8 in the past. I should have known trouble was brewing when we went to check in and the parking lot was full. The room was clean, but we couldn't find the thermostat for the electric heat, so it was warm. The walls are paper thin, and a big group of some sort had taken over the motel. They proceeded to party, running up and down the outside access until approx 4:00 in the morning.
The 'free' breakfast consisted of instant oatmeal, cold cereal, fruit and breads, juice, coffee/tea. It wouldn't have been all that bad, except it is situated between the wall and the reception desk. There is no seating area to eat, except for a couch and chair.
All in all, I would suggest before you confirm your reservation that you check with reception to see what groups are booked in the same time you are.
