July 2007 - After I booked our stay, I read two or three less-than-positive reviews here and I wondered if I had made a mistake. I'm pleased to repoert that my family (2 teenaged daughters and my husband and I) were well-satisfied with the accomodations and the service. We arrived at 12 PM and fully expected we wouldn't be able to check in early, but our rooms were ready and we were able to check in immediately. The staff was very pleasant and our rooms were clean and neat. They were somewhat small, but that is usual for city hotels. The Hemispheres Restaurant was excellent. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

February 2007 - I stayed at the Met for one night and although the rate was very good ($155) I found the hotel to be rather run down. The carpets were old and stained and the bathrooms were small. This is a very marginal 4 star hotel in my opinion.
