September 2007 - I was reuniting with an old friend who I hadn't seen in two years when she bumped into another friend of hers who had recently returned from Cambodia. After talking for a while my friend let her friend know we were on our way to eat, to which her friend said: "Oh, go to Mocha Mocha, it's really good." So, we did. Mocha Mocha is a semi-counter service, semi-sit down restaurant. When walking up to the counter one is immediately struck by the array of delicious sounding, fairly healthy menu. With things like ham, cheese, and avocado crepes featured as mainstaples, there's also Carribbean Chicken Stew, Tuna Cakes, and Vegan BLTS. Both my friend and I ordered Vegetarian Clubs, and were pleasantly satisfied with the quartered sandwich consisting of avocado, mayo, tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce. Mocha Mocha also serves a nicely dressed asian salad in the centre of most of their food. The counter help are a busy crew of multi-ethnic staff who seem to be family, if not for the obvious difference of their racial origins. Perhaps it's the community feeling at Mocha Mocha that makes the staff seem like family... either way, it's a very welcoming and warm place.
