by Don (from Toronto) May 2007 - My wife and I wanted a romantic get-a-way for the weekend and we picked the right place! We stayed in the Loft room and it was very clean and quiet for sleeping. The bathroom looked as if it was brand new and was fitted with a Jacuzzi and all was very clean. The owner was very friendly and courteous and we felt very comfortable the whole time we were there (we were mainly there only during the evenings and breakfast in the morning). The location is a few blocks to the main street so it was an ideal location for us. I would have given it a 10 but it was a little more than what we wanted to pay price wise - It was a last minute thing for us and I would say it was definitely worth it. There were some couples from Quebec that were also staying there and we all had a good chat during breakfast - overall a great experience!
In looking at what the previous review says, I was a little skeptical as to what to expect but it appears that the couple staying there wanted to be treated like royalty or something and maybe should stick to hotels where they can listen in on the other rooms to see if people are 'so called' gossiping about them - my guess is that they don't get out much!

by David (from Toronto) November 2006 - We have visited the Storrington House twice. Our first visit was nice but our second revealed it's true colours. I had arranged months in advance to have special dietary arrangements made for my wife which were ignored leaving me to go on a shopping expedition to get groceries for the owners to accomodate my wife. Even more disturbing, having been very friendly and polite with the owners over both times we had stayed there, my wife overheard one of the owners on the phone gossiping to a neighbour about us and particulars of our trip (we were celebrating our honeymoon, having just been married). We both found this extremely upsetting as we were both very courteous, friendly and kind to the couple that ran this bed and breakfast. We will not be patronizing this establisment again.
