"Complete Disappointment Con't..."

July 2007 - Three months have passed since I made the mistake of renting a vehicle from Niagara Concours Group located in Niagara Falls. I think it’s safe to say that everyone at one point has had or will have at least one bad experience with a company – some more serious than others. Well this experience has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with 1) the quality of product that I received, 2) the ridiculous amount of money I was charged for the very, very poor product, and last but certainly not least, the lack of professionalism and respect from the manager of Niagara Concours Group!

For those of you who haven’t read my first review of NCG, please do, it provides you with the background of the circumstances I am referring to in this review.

I decided to go to his office and meet with him. To no surprise at all, he did not show up! In fact, to this day I have not seen this guy nor have I spoken to him on the phone since the day of the rental! To make things even more surprising (or not, depending on how you view his efforts to this point) I decided to contact the Better Business Bureau to resolve this issue – as I was obviously having no luck with my inquiries and patience! To this day I have not heard anything from NCG. Enough said!

Please choose where you do business wisely!!!

July 2007 - Do not rent a vehicle from Niagara Concours Group located in Niagara Falls!
Here's why...

I ordered a 14 passenger SUV limousine for my wedding on July 7th 2007. At least this is what i was led to believe i had ordered. The SUV was supposed to come equiped with a “just married” sign and red carpet service for a total of 5 hours! However, what we received was a 10 passenger Dodge Sprinter with Mermaid Limousine Service written on the side of the vehicle, pretty much a glorified version of a minivan! If this wasn’t enough to embarrass us, the vehicle’s radio AND air conditioning broke down while en route, there was no “just married” sign and no red carpet service for either my wife or myself! On top of this, there was a Tim Horton’s cup still sitting in the vehicle from the last rental!

I was called on Friday July 6th at noon and told that the vehicle that we rented was broken down and may not be available the next day (they knew this since Wednesday and yet did not call!). I was told that the vehicle used to replace it was a 14 passenger, however NCG was going to call me back on Friday night to confirm which vehicle we were going to get. I received no phone call! Instead, I was called by a member of our wedding party when the vehicle NCG sent on our wedding day arrived at the hair salon.

I haven’t even reached the worst part yet! Because NCG sent a 10 passenger vehicle, my wife and I had to drive in our car to our photos because there was no room to accommodate all 14 of us. And again, I was promised that this new vehicle was a 14 passenger!

So needless to say, I demanded a full refund on the service that NCG did not provide. In fact, the only thing that went as planned was the timeline that the poor lady driving the Mermaid bus accomplished and this timeline was made by us and given to NCG! NCG did not come through on any single part of the service that was guaranteed to us.

That was my first part of the issue, my second issue had to do with the manager! My father had called him a total of seven times during my honeymoon, all of which went unanswered! When my wife and i returned from our honeymoon it took another couple emails to finally get ahold of the manager. This is where it sits as of right now, he still hasn't contacted me back about a refund!!!

First off I would like to express my understanding with the issues that have been addressed with this reservation. What this issue involves is the substitution on a vehicle that had broken down in our fleet. This client did rent a SUV limousine from our company. With no control over our vehicle beak down we sub contracted what we felt at the last minute would accomodate the booking. Issues happen that are beyond our control from time to time.

As far as the "lack of respect" i have had for the client I find that a little much. I did offer you a gift certificate for your issues. A total refund is unreasonable, you did recieve a service for transportation. I would be more than willing to uphold my end of the compensation. Also the vehicle I ordered is listed as 14 passengers and is limousine style. We can not control any issues we have with outsourced work. I was simply trying to make sure you were covered. Many limousine operators would not even try to arrange vehicles they just cancel. I do understand your frustration. We have been in business since 2003 in Niagara and continue to service many customers. We have completed over 30,000 trips to date and still hold a strong reputation.
