December 2005 - The price was reasonable considering it was new years eve. And most places were either booked up or extremely overpriced like the days inn in Niagara Falls who wanted over $300 a night!
I only paid $95 cash for the room (the hostess gave me the summer rate), and I was very lucky to have found this place on very short notice. (there was a cancellation).
Food was excellent, the hostess and her sister (who was visiting) were very nice.
The only major complaint I have is regarding the washroom in the hallway that was specifically my washroom to use, not any other guests to use since they have their own washroom in their own room and I didn't! One of the guests continually used my washroom, the hostess couldn't give me a key for this washroom because she said she only had one, and she didn't want to lose it. At one point I had to wait to use my washroom because one of her guests were using it. When I finally went in the bathroom, the place reeked! Now I notice that it is printed on this website that the hallway bathroom is "shared". However, the hostess told me that it was my bathroom to use, not any other guest to use.
Overall, this b&b was pretty good considering the bathroom incidents with the other guests. What I would suggest for the b&b owner to do is to make an extra key, and whoever has the room with no bathroom, to lock it up so no other guests have the idea to use it. Or better yet, say it is the private bathroom of room # __. And give the extra key to that person. Problem solved!
I gave a 2/10 with the room condition, only because of the walls in the closet that were really bad. Other than that, the bed and the room was very clean.
