It is about a five minute shuttle ride from the airport to the hotel. Yes that means that they provide free shuttle service to and from the airport.
I personally like the hotel because of the location. There is a grocery store just across the street as well as a Zellers and some other stores as well.
The beds are very comfortable and the room and bathroom appear clean... although my friend found bed bugs in my bed one night!! Gross! She talked to the staff about it and they were very nice and put her in a different room. That’s another thing that I liked about the hotel is that the staff is friendly and helpful.
The rooms have fridges and free internet access, although I was on the phone for about an hour with the tech support to get my laptop connected. I guess that the new window’s vista wasn’t compatible and we had to take about an hour to get it to work.
Another aspect that I like is that the windows open in the rooms. It’s was really nice to be able to air out the room and sleep with the window open because it kind of smells like smoke through out the hotel. I also felt very safe in the hotel.
There is a restaurant with great food just through the lobby area as well as a pool and fitness center. I did not like the gym though. It is small, hot and clammy because it’s located in the pool area. There is a very nice gym located just outside the hotel that you could go to if you really don’t like that one.
