May 2008 - The Works gourmet burgers have finally come to Orleans. The new franchise is already so busy that it's crowded late on a week night. Even so, the service is great and the food is better. My choice tonight was a Crappy Tire: pineapple ring, sweet and spicy sauce and brie cheese on beef and a whole wheat bun. The menu states that Canadian Tire cash is accepted. I wonder if that's just a joke.
My partner enjoyed a Spartacat Special: gouda cheese, crispy bacon and fresh avocado. We both like the sweet potato strings for our side order though ketchup is a must have.
My bottomless Coke and my partner's fresh, tart, real lemonaid came in sixteen ounce measuring glasses.
There is a new offer at The Works to upgrade your burger patty to free-range elk meat, maybe next time.
The original location on Beechwood closed for good in February.
