June 2008 - Our party of three arrived at the Little Turkish Village for lunch and we were immediately whisked to a table for three (not four or more, three). It's been years since I visited the restaurant and the building does not seem to be aging well. My chair was cracked. The three of us ordered a lunch special, two shish tavuk (chicken) and one sish kebab (lamb), as well as orders of dolma and humus. The side orders (and some pita) were delivered immediately to the table and the platters arrived right after.
The grape leaves were fresh and large but I would have appreciated either more Turkish spice or more vinegar. The dish of humus was interestingly filled so that the olive oil floated separately on the chick pea mix. The platters came with the skewer-less meat sitting on plain rice aside a lovely salad and home-made wedge fries. I think all of the potatoes went home for another meal.
Don't expect to get a wheelchair (or even a walker) in to this restaurant.
