September 2007 - I felt like a steak so we headed to our neighbourhood Montana’s Cookhouse. However, upon reading the menu I didn’t like the high price of the steak dinners and I settled for a steak sandwich. My steak and my partner’s steak were cooked close to order. Feeling justified at spending so little on my dinner, I had the most expensive dessert - the Mile High Mud Pie. I think there were more calories in my dessert than in my meal. Even with two forks and two large tummies, the single dessert plate went back to the dishwasher with food still aboard.
Our service at Montana’s was great but then we did arrive before 4 in the afternoon. However, while enjoying our service, we did watch the not-so-well-served patrons queued out the door at the Starbuck’s across the parking lot.
As I have found in past visits to Montana’s, the cutlery was far from clean. At least this time I found no hairs in the kerchief which wraps the cutlery.
