October 2007 - A take-out restaurant specializing in Greek cuisine has opened in the new Trinity Crossing plaza in Orleans (suburban Ottawa). Most of the customers order the family-pack specials which include chicken, ribs and/or brochettes. This makes sense because the introductory specials over the summer were the same family packs at a discounted price. The restaurant seems busy. The promotions worked.
The buns which come with the family pack are fine but I would have preferred some pita breads (which I thought would have been less expensive for the entrepreneur). I love grape leaves and the dolmadakia at Minos did not disappoint. That grape-leaf appetizer came with a huge supply of tzatziki for dipping.
Rather than pay an additional $15 to up-size our meal to include rice, potato and an additional order of ribs; we simply purchased a two-dollar side order of potatoes.
The menu contains much more than family packs. There is plenty to salivate over.
