October 2007 - I suspect that the Lucky House is like neighbourhood Chinese food restaurants across the country. Lucky House is my neighbourhood Chinese food restaurant. Walk to the restaurant, place the order, do some banking, pick up a movie and return to gather the hot and tasty dinner.
The spring rolls were huge. Even though the Singapore vermicelli and the Kung Pao chicken were on the hot and spicy menu, we asked for extra hot. The vermicelli came with big hunks of fried egg. Our less adventurous partner enjoyed chicken balls that actually contained plenty of chicken.
This evening our choices were a bit expensive but then we did have enough left over for a meal the following evening. Thankfully, there’s always the free white rice thrown in with the order. That way, no matter how much spicier the food gets the following day, just toss in some extra rice with the yummy, spicy leftovers and enjoy.
