December 2007 - Being part of a national chain, this restaurant offers plenty of choice and high quality food. This particular franchise is located in the eastern suburbs of Ottawa on Innes Road near Tenth Line.
At Kelsey’s, I typically enjoy jambalaya or a peppercorn burger platter. These days there is a special lunch menu which includes a peppercorn burger meal with a milkshake and a soup: vanilla shake and broccoli cheddar soup for me. The giant onion rings on these burgers are always a nice touch.
Be careful with the special lunch menu however. While my peppercorn burger requires a full 25 minutes for proper preparation, other items on this same menu are part of a 15-minute-or-discount campaign.
Today’s dining was not a comfortable experience. A server spent our meal yelling personal conversations - across the restaurant - with her supervisor and other servers. Fortunately, she was not our server.
Beware of the pieces of paper floating in your soft drink. The wrapped straws seem to be losing their paper covering.
