August 2008 - We arrived quite hungry in Ottawa, after a long foodless flight. Our dining partner knew exactly where to take us to fill us up with great food. We chose The Works at the Orleans location. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly host. She brought our very large but classed as medium drinks quickly.
The menu is so extensive with mouth watering choices, that you will need some extra time to make up your mind. My one dining mate chose the Bubba Grump all beef burger, which came with three yummy shrimp on top. He said it was delicious. I went with the Teriyaki Melt beef burger. It was heavenly, and the mashed potatoes I chose were wonderful. My other mate wanted blue cheese and bacon and that’s what he got with The Blues Burger. He had also ordered their famous milkshake, and it met all the kudos we had heard.
The staff were all helpful and seemed quite happy in their job.
This was our first but definitely not our last trip to The Works burger havens

"Burger Heaven"

April 2007 - The Works is by far the best place in Ottawa to enjoy a burger. Their restaurants are very small and successful, so expect a wait for entry. This particular location on Bank Street in the Glebe neighbourhood of Ottawa is likely the easiest location for finding a table.

The burgers consist of more than 60 exotic and nearly ridiculous combinations of condiments such as peanut butter or pear or fried egg. However, there are “ho-hum” options for the less adventurous in your group. You choose your buns. You choose your meat: beef, organic beef, chicken, turkey, veggie or mushroom cap. You also choose your potato side, including sweet-potato fries. If you desire an appetizer, the tower-of-rings is a must and you’ll get some nice dips for those rings. The patties are large and well-done so expect a wait for your main dish, all the more reason to order that tower-of-rings.
