| "A good healthy choice on a budget " |

August 2007 - This little cafe right on Sparks Street is not far from the CBC building. We stopped in there on the first afteroon we arrived in Ottawa. From the outside it looked like a clean little restaurant with a small patio out front which is what attracted us to the place. When you walk in you see a selection of homemade salads and pre-made panini's behind a deli-style counter, as well as a selection of pastries and desserts. I ordered the veggie panini with cheese and basil (yum), while my husband opted for a more Italian-style one with a side potato salad (the combo meals were the best way to go). We both liked our sandwiches a lot, but I regreted not having a salad as I still felt a little hungry afterward (and the sandwiches were a little small). The potato salad, while homemade with large chunks of potato, was quite bland and disappointing since it looked amazing. All, in all, I have to say the value for the money was pretty good and I would go again, but would order a salad (and not the potato).
