September 2007 - I enjoy Joey’s regular fish, pollock, but I usually need to add some taste to that fish - malt vinegar. The haddock and halibut are full of taste on their own, no vinegar required. I prefer the haddock over the halibut even though the halibut is the more expensive choice. I’m still undecided about the cod & chips choice recently added to Joey’s menu. Sadly, the all-you-can-eat fish & chips special on Tuesdays includes only pollock. At Joey’s Only, the chips are all-you-can-eat all of the time.
For appetizer, I prefer the calamari. Request extra seafood sauce.
For something extra, I have sampled the mushy peas which seem to have a different taste, temperature and texture each time I order them.
For dessert, my choice is Joey’s specialty, the mud pie: mocha flavored ice cream on a dark chocolate crust.
There are plenty of times visiting Joey’s when I just don’t want any more fried food. That’s when I enjoy the blackened snapper with baked beans and rice for sides. I’m feeling hungry.
