November 2007 - When I need a break in the middle of an office workday, I head to Tower C of the Place de Ville complex. Today, I visited The Corner Kitchen and its vast array of yummy sandwiches, muffins and cookies. For a cost more affordable than the nearby national sandwich chain (even cheaper than today's special), I get a sandwich with complimentary soup (today I chose the beef and barley option) and crackers.
Most patrons visit The Corner Kitchen for their celebrated coffee selection. Harry Deli is the name of the restaurant's catering arm.
According to its promotional material, The Corner Kitchen is proud of the fact that there is no centralized kitchen or manufacturer. The food is prepared on site. The sandwiches and muffins not sold at the end of the day are donated to charity.
Hint: I usually checking out the wrapped sandwiches at the counter and then order one that has to be made completely fresh.
