November 2007 - We tried a new place at the St. Laurent Shopping Centre: the Bourbon St. Grill. Their menu board is simple, offering meals and combos which feature meat and/or vegetables. The meat choices consist of chicken done as curry, bourbon, blackened, Cajun, Louisiana or honey glazed. The vegetable choices for this day were green beans, large carrots, broccoli (Asian style), mixed vegetables, jambalaya rice or plain rice.
Because our server suggested that it might be too spicy, we sampled the chicken curry with an order of jambalaya rice. It was far from too spicy but very tasty. The plate included lots of chicken and the soup from the curry mixed well with the fresh vegetables and with the yummy rice.
Warning: I suspect that some items here are made with MSG. We both felt pretty sluggish soon after enjoying our dinner.
For shopping mall food, you can still get comfortable with some good food and cozy in a chair by the flaming fireplace.
