January 2008 - Jericho's is a little gem. It's front window is dimly lit, and one cannot see the marvel that awaits inside. Stepping into Jericho's, I was swept away by the painted glass depictions of Lebanese scenes that cover every inch of wall space throughout the restaurant. Looking up, there are tile mosaics covering the entire ceiling. Lovely! The warm and passionate owner/waiter seats you as Jericho's simple Middle Eastern food menu invites you in with good value for your money. I've been here for both their breakfast and their dinner. Jericho's breakfast isn't the best European breakfast around - but it's decent and cheap - which allows you to feel pampered without spending a whole lot. Furthermore, it's not busy for brunch, which makes it an attractive alternative to packed nearby brunch diners. For breakfast I had the eggs benedict, which came with a lackluster hollandaise sauce. For dinner, I had a fantastic spread of fatoush salad (a middle eastern delight made up of romaine lettuce, garlic, and fried crouton bits, tossed in lemon and oil - sounds deceptively simple, but it's delicious!l), and freshly made falafel balls with pita bread a vinegary hummous spread. Jericho's red house wine is too cheap to be believed, and yet, surprisingly drinkable!
