"Dingy and Tired"
3.20
by Craig (from Toronto)
June 2008 - This hotel has seen better days. It is dingy, dark, tired and really not a great destination, even for Sudbury, which is not known for its great hotels. Access to the hotel is confusing to the newcomer, and approaching the hotel through an area of town that boasts a local homeless shelter is disconcerting at best.

The room was very small. With two double beds, one bed is so close to the wall that you can only get out one side. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were ridiculous. Air conditioning is offered through an old "through the wall" type unit that is so loud that you cannot watch TV and run the air at the same time, lest you turn up the TV to hear it and wake the people up in the next room. The rooms look out on a busy bridge and a train yard, with trains continually coming and going, so opening the window instead of running the air conditioner is out of the question.

I checked out early, and went to another hotel in town for my second night.
I definitely do not recommend this hotel except in the case of an emergency.

"Noisy"

by Nick (from Ottawa, ON)
April 2008 - The rooms were great and the staff was friendly and provided great customer service...BUT, the walls are paper thin and the hotel is located next to a major road frequently used by large trucks - YOU HEAR EVERYTHING! Everything from toilets flushing to doors closing to giant "booms" every time a truck goes across the nearby bridge. If you're looking for a good night sleep, don't stay here - or, bring some earplugs!

"awkward location"

September 2007 - had trouble getting to the hotel because of one way or dead end streets. a little distance from major highways. nice enough room although bed was creeky. on the positive side the restaurant attached to hotel was marvelous
