| "Not the Greatest Experience" |

December 2006 - We arrived at the spa and were expected to remove our shoes at the entrance. Normally I would not mind this, as I have done so at many other spas. However, I was not given a pair of slippers to walk around in. I was expected to walk around the spa (which is in an old renovated house) with just having my socks on. This is not a way to be pampered. Nor was I given a robe to change into even though I was having two services: a full body massage and a pedicure.
My first service was a full body pregnancy massage. The one nice thing about it was that they had the pregnancy cushion so I was able to lie on my belly and have my back fully massaged instead having to lie on my side. However, I specifically said that my arms needed attention. The RMT didn't even touch my arms. Nor did I get the wonderful scalp massage that I've gotten used to at many other spas. I was a bit disappointed with the service. I did have to ask for a pair of slippers so I could walk around the house for my next service.
My next service was the spa foot treatment. I was led downstairs into a small room with two pedicure chairs. The aesthetician immediately asked me what colour I wanted for my pedicure. Well, I was never given any options in the first place so how was I to know?! The selection was not very big once it was shown to me. The pedicure did end up looking very nice and my feet felt great. Since it was the end of the day I didn't want to stay around and wait for my toes to dry so I was given disposable slippers to go home with. Luckily we were parked right in front of the house so I just had to go down the steps.
Also, the spa does not have a private parking area so only street parking is available.
