| "Pleasantly Surprised" |

by Laurie (from Oakville, Ontario) October 2007 - I didn't really expect much when we booked this hotel, but it was only for one night, so we weren't too concerned if it wasn't the best hotel. But, when we got there the place was clean and comfortable. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. That's all we really demand in a hotel. Continental breakfast was convenient. We have paid twice as much for hotels that were comparable and we've stayed at places that were much, much inferior for the same price. For the value, this was a very good place. We'd definitely stay here again.

| "Not for the faint of heart" |
by William (from Branbdon MB) August 2007 - Guests should be aware that this period hotel does not have any elevators and is not for the physically challenged. The beds are hard as a rock ...but the staff are very pleasant. The carpets need cleaning and it may be smoke free now but the odor remains.

| "very disappointed" |
by Kevin (from Oshawa) July 2007 - We thought we were going to have a quainte hotel near the waterfront to enjoy. We were very disappointed in our accomadations. The room was very small. Not a big issue. There was no air conditioning. It was a very hot night. There was a floor fan that worked and a LG fan or AC in the room which did not work at all. We called to get instructions to fix it but the front desk line was busy. (this was on more than one occasion) When we walked to the front desk, no one was there.
We had a room at the lower level which we were told upon check in would be a nice room. We were kept awake until 2:30 in the morning with the music from the club that was outside our window.
For the cost of $155 per night, we thought we were going to have a much better experience. We would have been better to stay in one of the other hotels for a much cheaper cost with much better accomodations as we did before. We thought the location and the cost would have given much better results.

| "The best of Orillia" |
by Alex (from Mississauga, Ontario) May 2007 - If you visit Casino Rama, or taking a weekend break from the city, this is a terrific hotel in which to stay. There are complimentary busses to the casino and the hotel is within a short walk to the center of Orillia.

| "Quaint Rooms" |
by Sandi (from New Liskeard, Ontario) May 2007 - The rooms in the Hotel are small, but very quaint and cozy. It was convenient that the shuttle to Casino Rama picks up right at the door. Great service, very clean and the price is right. There is not an elevator at this hotel, so the stairs could be a problem for some people. I would stay there again.
