October 2007 - I had lunch at The Dam Pub on Sunday October 7th, 2007. My friend had been there recently with three others and they all enjoyed the food. Therefore I was looking forward to my meal there. I ordered the burger and my friend a salad topped with grilled chicken. The first thing I saw on my fries was a hair and showed the waiter. He gracefully apologized, and took my plate and brought me another meal within 15 minutes. Then my friend, who had nearly finished eating, found a hair in his meal that didn't look anything like his. I looked in his plate, and found another one that also clearly wasn't his. He pointed it out to our waiter, who then asked if we'd like another round of beers on the house. I definitely will not order food at this establishment again! The chip on the lip of my waterglass didn't seem big enough to mention...but the fact that we found three hairs in two meals is simply disgusting.

This same contrived critique has appeared on other restaurant review sites. Keith and his friend are welcome to a free meal on me if they wish to identify themselves. I suspect however this is simply a nuisance insertion in order to attack our fantastic success. We just WON "The best Patio in Barrie and surrounding area award from CHAY 93.1 FM. Now that says something real! That is a very big area with a pile of restaurants to choose from. We invested very little in our patio but lots in the Staff, Food and Ambiance. Our success shows.
