September 2007 - This hotel in small town Belleville can be compared to best hotels in the large cities. The rooms and public areas are decorated tasefully. It is the best place to stay for a night and relax.

February 2007 - This is an older style hotel that has been refurbished. Most of the rooms are quite large and some are fairly opulent having been restored according to themes. If you like all the mod cons this is not your first choice but if you like the old style ambiance then this hotel fits the bill. Curiously, the public spaces are not really as impressive as one would expect in an old building like this. I didn't care for the dinner restaurant fair which I think is below average, however, the breakfast restaurant is first class.
At the price, this hotel is a real bargain. It is not a five star but I like the old world charm, friendly staff and the comfort that these rooms offer. Unfortunately, access to the web is scratchy at best and not well protected. For the business traveller, this could be a real negative.
