June 2007 - We had a pleasent stay. Friendly staff and good service. The only inconvenience was that we were in the older part of the building and far from the pool area. Just to much walking for an injured person with kids.

reserve one of our newly renovated guestrooms in the Tower..which is a short
elevator ride to the indoor water park.

June 2007 - Room was booked a month ahead of time using CAA rates. Room offered was adjacent to elevator hallway (high traffic). Room did not have any appreciable view other than overlooking droning air conditioning units on the roof. Bathroom did not appear to be clean. Bathtub had rust in areas. Room had a water damaged ceiling with what appeared to be mould. Bottom line - room proffered at a better rate but with sub-par standards. Warning to those exepcting a true discount.
Pop machines are connected to hotel billing system for cashless dispensing. Pop overpriced. Not all vending machines used the card, so coins were still required. Don't know why such a big deal made about cashless pop machines other than being able to charge more.
Water park facilites appeard in good condition. Steam and sauna rooms were good. You had to watch where you sat when the steam came on as it would burn your backside. Poolside men's bathroom was not attended to after a toiled overflowed and there were feces on the floor making it unsanitary and unusable. During 2 hour time there, no housekeeping staff attended, making it unsanitary for people who may have blundered in and tracked material out onto pool deck and beyond.
Staff seemed nice but a little too smarmy. Don't have to go overboard, simply provide answers to questions and use common sense in being polite was all that was felt required. People at the front desk should know when the kitchen shuts down instead of having to forward your phone call to another department within the hotel. No need to answer the phone stating the hotel's and the person's name to make it a longer, drawn out affair. People phoning know where they are and unless the clerk is rude, won't care about their names which they can ask for.
In spite of an initial good outside appearance, we were dismayed overall. Will try to choose a different place the next time as a result.
Note to Review agency - some advance notice of a poll being conducted would have helped as I see you have provisions to have photos submitted to back claims. A few shots of the bathroom or ceiling mould could have been attached.

I would like to thank this guest for his comments. We are in the process of a complete
renovation of all our guestrooms and should be completed in the near future.
We attempt to educate all our team on keeping the place clean and well maintained, sometimes our team fails in this respect and we do everything we can to ensure
it does not happen again.
I hope this guest will return and enjoy one of our newly renovated rooms in the near future.
