September 2006 - Al Dente is a small Italian restaurant which also makes and sells its own sauces and pastas and carries an assortment of food items. I went for lunch and had the fettuccine with pesto sauce. It was quite a large portion and the sauce was very good, made with a rich olive oil. Also, I really enjoyed the bread served with the meal. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. My waitress was very helpful and tried to explain items on the menu in English. I had a bread pudding and espresso afterwards, which was quite nice. A short walk from downtown Baie-Saint-Paul, this restaurant is a nice spot away from the main sector of town.
