February 2006 - I've been to Montreal three times and on each occasion, I've visited the city's old town - mainly just strolling the narrow, cobblestone streets, ducking into small gift stores and patisseries or having lunch at one of the area's many cafes. You can't beat the district for its historic architecture and atmosphere - and the independent shops are great! Never a tiring tourist attraction for me!
