February 2006 - No trip to Montreal is complete without a visit to the Basilique Notre Dame in the city's old town. Everything about the cathedral is impressive - its size and architectural grandeur, its gold-plated, back-lit altar and stained glass windows, even its location on the picturesque Place d'Armes square. Touristy? yes. Admission fee? yes. Worth it? Entirely!
