August 2007 - The hotel is a bit inconvenient to get to as it is on a one way street. The building is an old heritage building made of red brick in an older part of town. The inside has been completely redone. The front desk area is nice and the staff was very helpful. There was free covered parking just around the corner and the stalls were big enough to fit our truck in. Our room was quite large, with two nice chairs and a desk. The bathroom was huge as well. There was a jetted tub and a large shower head. Everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the thick drapes made the room very dark. I went to workout in their gym - a room with a few older machines and a few newer ones and a TV. There was a large fan which was very nice. The hot tub was a bit disappointing because it was just a home hot tub in a room. There was a free continental breakfast. It started pretty early, at 6am and by the time we got to it, there was little left. The next morning we went down earlier and the breakfast was very good. They gave us a tray to take our food back to our room. We had breakfast in bed and it was wonderful! The elevator was a bit scary and old, so we took the stairs as much as possible. The stairwells were very wide and nicely carpeted. Checkout was very easy as our credit card which we used to hold the room was charged and a receipt slipped under our door before 6am. The price was very reasonable at about $300 for 5 nights. I would stay at this hotel again.
