July 2007 - As you enter the hotel and look to the right you will be drawn to the lush tropical indoor courtyard. It’s so beautiful. That’s where I spent most of my time when I wasn’t sleeping.
They have winding walkways through the trees, bushes and flowers that lead you to an open area with the pool, gym and restaurant.
The restaurant has really great food and is open to the pool and little rivers that they have flowing around the area. It’s a very nice place to eat. Although that brings me to the fact that the pool is just in an open area for everyone to see. Maybe it would be great for families. The children can go swimming and the parents can sit at the tables at the pool and eat/drink while they watch their kids. Fun… maybe for them but there is no way that I would go swimming there because I would feel very uncomfortable…so ladies if you what to go for a swim in the evening and don’t want to be stared at…not the place to go.
The gym is probably the worst thing about the hotel. It’s small, smelly and it has a small selection of equipment.
As for the rooms they are clean and the beds are hard. I wouldn’t want to sleep on them for more then two nights. The bathrooms are clean too but the lighting is quite bad if you want to do your makeup. I would bring an extra mirror and do your makeup in the room if you have somewhere important to be.
The Staff was really nice and helpful. They were able to answer all my questions about the hotel and surrounding area.
The hotel is really close to the airport, but it’s in the middle of nowhere. The shuttle driver offered to drive me to the mall!! I don’t think this would be a regular thing but I’m sure if you have the right driver he would do the same (again, they are very nice people).
