December 2007 - Alexander’s Restaurant and Bar is located near the University of Saskatchewan campus in Saskatoon, and certainly serves as a campus bar. Avoid trying to go over the lunch hour without a reservation or you’ll end up sitting awkwardly in the middle of the room at a makeshift table. At other hours of the day, however, you can sit in the restaurant’s main floor for traditional dining, or move upstairs for a more lounging experience. The portions are huge, especially the nachos, and the food is all fairly priced. The only mistake I’ve ever made was to order the Quesadilla on the Starter menu, but from now on I’ll go somewhere else when I’m feeling like Mexican. Considering the number of customers at times, the service is usually timely (though not always overly-friendly). Enjoy celebratory drinks after an exam or a working meal, but be careful with the latter because the place can get pretty rowdy.
