November 2007 - Koutouki Taverna is located in downtown Saskatoon. Although it is a little overpriced the restaurant can magically transport you from a cold Saskatoon evening to a Grecian paradise, and that’s before you’re even shown to a table. The décor is impressively Greek—spacious, with brightly coloured walls and lots of greenery. The food is truly exceptional Greek fare—Dolmades, Spanakopita, and incredible Saganaki. On a couple of occasions we couldn’t decide on a main course and chose instead to share several appetizers. To top it off, they sometimes provide traditional entertainment with dancers or dish breaking. On the down side, however, the food and drinks are quite expensive and although the portions are generous, it’s still a bit surprising to see the bill. Nevertheless, Koutouki Taverna is not your best option for a quiet, romantic dinner but instead a great place for an upbeat night out with satiable food and drink.
