| "A popular place for live music." |

by Lindsay (from Saskatoon) January 2008 - Lydia’s Pub on Broadway in Saskatoon is a great place to meet your friends for drinks. On most nights you will have the opportunity to hear live music of some variety. There are three levels, and if the music is not to your taste you usually have to go upstairs or down because the music is always really loud, making it impossible to carry a conversation. They have open-mic nights and other weekly regulars. They’ve also opened a patio for the summer months. Although the plastic lawn chairs aren’t overly comfortable, it’s always great to sit outside. There are pool tables, foosball tables and arcade games downstairs, which provide a nice escape. The menu is incredibly limited so go to Lydia’s for after-dinner drinks and entertainment. Broadway is a great place to pub-hop and you can always wander down the street for a bite. The most frustrating part about Lydia’s is that you usually have to pay cover to get in, and sometimes the entertainment just isn’t worth it.
