November 2007 - Chianti—located in downtown Saskatoon. You can’t beat their Pasta Frenzy from Sunday to Tuesday!! All pasta’s are practically half price, though you will most certainly wait in line for a table. To pass the time they bring around wine to the line-dwellers. Because it is so busy it is usually quite loud, but in a pleasant upbeat sort of way. The menu has a lot more than just pasta, but the pastas are certainly why you should go. There are an exceptional variety of options—definitely something for everyone—but I usually stick to the pastas from around the world and I’ve never been disappointed. My absolute favourite is the Alla Campesino. It is a Penne with chicken, pineapple, and sundried tomatoes in a fabulous curry sauce. Chianti’s Ravioli and Vegetarian Lasagna are also excellent. All you have to do is select a bottle of wine and you’re all set!
