April 2007 - Do not eat here. They reheat their tortillas by frying them in lard instead of steaming or heating them on a hot ungreased griddle. The spanish rice is disgusting and they put way too much cheese on their refried beans. The salad was obviously not fresh (brown parts on lettuce). The only thing you can eat in this restaurant is the grilled chicken (pretty hard to hurt that), but you will have to suffer through the rest of the food that goes with it, and the fajitas (but without good tortillas its hardly worth it.. They don't even have a steamer. Los Olivos is only for tourists who have no idea of what good mexican food should taste like. This restaurant isn't even mediorcre...it's just plain aweful. Also, they deep fried my chicken in vegetable oil that was rancid. Only good thing i can say is the cooked vegetables were good. After complaining that the food was inedible they wouldn't even comp it or offer to give me something else to make me happy.
