April 2007 - While the Summer of Love is no longer, Haight-Ashbury is a San Francisco legend and anyone with a little hippie within will want to check it out. These days the psychedelic is found more in the t-shirts than the resident musicians and the free lovin' youth of the 60s would have a hard time affording the wares of the boutiques that line the street today but nevertheless, Haight is still a groovy place to see and be. And spendy or not, it is a great place to find vintage tees and edgy clothing...and yes, a Grateful Dead sticker to two as well!

April 2007 - The 60s are long gone but the Haight district of San Francisco is still a cool place to check out in San Francisco - as we did on a recent trip to the city - just to take in what remains of this bit of hippy history or to shop one of the area's many quirky boutiques.
Joplin and Dead die-harders might be disappointed in the Haight of today but the place has somehow managed to retains its unique aura and is definitely worth fitting in to a visit to San Fran.
As fans of the Grateful Dead, we just strolled Haight Street, shopping and taking in the atmosphere. The area is a great place for one-of-a-kind fashion or edgy tees with several vintage clothes stores around - as long as you're prepared to pay.
