| "A cheap option in an expensive area" |

December 2006 - My partner and I arrived in Tahoe City for the ski season and needed somewhere to stay for a couple of weeks while we found a place to rent. We called into a few places that had cabins or rooms available with fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster and cable TV. The Tahoe City Inn provided the best deal for longer-term stays, the two of us stayed in a room with two queen beds and ensuite shower and toilet for two weeks for US$400 per week. It had all the appliances mentioned plus a telephone and answering service. The staff were friendly although when we pointed out a dripping tap in the bathroom it did not get fixed during our stay. It snowed a few times while we were there and they were great at clearing the snow immediately. It was such good value and in a great location within walking distance of coffee shops, ski shops and the bus services that take you to the ski areas that we considered staying there for the season! This place, for its cheap price, gets a full recommendation from me.
