March 2007 - While visiting friends in Tahoe for a few days of skiing, my husband, two kids and I stayed at this mom and pop's style motel in Tahoe City. Not only was the price very reasonable for Tahoe (around $85/night), we had a refrigerator and microwave in our room and a very nice continental breakfast was provided each morning - making it easy for us to cater for breakfasts and/or lunches. The motel had an outdoor swimming pool which obviously wasn't in use in the winter but with the slopes waiting, we didn't really mind. The manager was very friendly and helpful and we were glad to have chosen this small and basic, locally-owned motel over other flashier ones around.
