February 2007 - Alpenglow Sports is almost as cool as the natural phenomenon after which the store is named. Its the kind of shop where you always want to pop into to check out the latest gear and you come out a) being inspired to hit the trails for a multi-day backpacking trip, b) being completely motivated to take up mountaineering or back country skiing even though you have yet to master basic rock climbing, c) wishing you were a trust fund baby just so you could buy everything in the place and be a complete gear junkie or d) convinced that despite not being a trust fund baby, you just NEEDED yet another stuff stack - but cooler and better than the ones at home! Everyone is friendly, the stock is quality and if it had an espresso bar, I might never have walked out the door - except of course to undertake a. or b. above.
