| "Character, coffee and books to boot" |

March 2006 - The name is great, the building is great, the ambiance is great! Not surprisingly, the coffee and books equal the rest. Located next to the Truckee River downtown, the Book & Bean is tucked away in the bottom of an historic building and is a cool place to read, work or have a coffee. Low wood-beamed ceilings and sofas dotted throughout the shop give it an incredibly cosy feel and, while quite small, the shop offers a top quality selection of local titles, travel books and best sellers. If I lived in Truckee, this is completely the kind of place I would frequent on a regular basis. Character to boot, coffee and books to match!
