| "Casual and convenient coffee house" |

February 2007 - Not only is Truckee a picturesque little town on the edge of Tahoe, it also has its share of good coffee houses, one of which is Wild Cherries on the west end of town. I spent the winter in Truckee and every time I stopped in Wild Cherries it was busy with either locals catching up or individuals working on their laptops. The place was somewhat of a cross between a cafe and a coffee house and while it wasn't my favourite one in the area (I tend to go for more cosy atmospheres with sofas, brick walls, etc and prefer coffee shops that are open in the evenings), Wild Cherries seemed to be hugely popular with many of the locals for its excellent coffee drinks, friendly service and great breakfasts. Certainly every time I stopped in, I was greeted warmly and never disappointed with my treats!
