March 2007 - Don't expect the front desk to greet you with a smile on their face! Quite the opposite!! We arrived at the hotel at 1am (they were aware of our late arrival). The man behind the front desk could clearly see us arrive and unload our luggage from the shuttle. Instead of coming to greet and unlock the front door for us immediately, he waited for us to pound on the door several times and with a look of discust. The rest of the week got no better. The front desk staff were of no assistance what-so-ever, not even friendly. Don't expect the staff to help with any arrangements (tours, taxis etc) We were left to make our own arrangements in our room, and upon check out we had quite a few charges for our local calling....so be aware! The rooms were OK. They are in need of updates and repair. Stains on ceilings and carpets. The hot water was extremely minimal ( I had a few cold showers) The shuttle service does not run every hour, so if you have young children and need to get back to the hotel for an afternoon nap, expect to take a taxi. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. Housekeeping did their best. Our beds were done daily. Our towels were exchanged daily. Continental breakfast was the same each day, not many healthy choices but hit the spot before we went out for the day. If you are looking for economical accomodations and minimal expectations, this is the hotel for you. We will not be returning to this hotel.
