December 2007 - The House of Blues restaurant in Downtown Disneyland is a real jewel.
When you enter the front doors, it’s like a walk in Tennessee or New Orleans.
It’s casual eating with muted lighting and music. The staff was great and found us a perfect spot right by the window on the second floor, looking out at the Disneyland world of people go by. There’s lots of dining outdoors as well on their porch. For our entrée, I decided on the penne pasta that was chuck full of spinach and fresh peppers, all in a delicious wine sauce.
My partner chose the 14 oz New York Strip that came with lovely mashed potatoes and gravy and giant portabella mushrooms. His sautéed veggies were perfect.
We had some space left to share the delicious Key lime Pie, another score for us.
This was a delightful dining experience for us and we would definitely try it again.
