December 2007 - Steakhouse 55 is an appropriate venue for adults wishing a grown-up, sit down meal, or some light fare from the starter list. The restaurant staff does welcome families, but the menu options tend to be for older children. The atmosphere is stately and peaceful as it is inside the Disneyland Hotel and is not quite as visible. My hubby and I ate here twice and found it to be relaxing even in the bar at the entrance to the main dining room. The staff was quite friendly and seemed to remember us both times. My favorite was the crab cakes and the broiled Portobello Mushrooms. One evening we were seated in the bar on very comfy chaises and we ordered the
Petite New York steak with parmesan potatoes. We topped it off with a delicious slice of fruit pie with vanilla bean ice cream. What a delightful end of that day for us.
