December 2007 - We highly recommend the Best Western Bayshore Inn. The nonsmoking room was exceptionally clean and quiet and the King bed was most comfortable. Located at the southern edge of Eureka on Highway 101, the lodging is adjacent to the Bayshore Mall, so shopping is convenient. The full complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cold cereal, waffles w/ strawberries, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, apple and orange juice, and the usual selection of hot beverages. There is also a Marie Callender's restaurant adjacent to the property. The front desk staff was most friendly and courteous. We checked-in and checked-out without any problems. Take advantage of the numerous discounts (AAA, AARP, business, etc) for a high value stay.

November 2007 - This was an excellent place to stay. I took my two 85/86 year old parents and a truck bed full of stuff that had to be unloaded into the room. We normally travel with a travel trailer so they are used to having "everything" with them.
The hotel desk staff was very accommodating and changed the room to a ground floor unit to help my folks.
The suite was very nice, clean, and looks pretty new. Would like to see someplace to sit and watch TV or use a computer in the separate bedroom.
Internet access was very good.
The complimentary breakfast was very adequate and the staff very helpful. The Marie Calendars restaurant, on site, was very good, as well, and does lots of room service for the hotel.
