September 2004 - This Italian bistro means business. During a visit to Colorado Springs, I found myself and about eight other friends seated at a pleasant private booth in this authentic Italian dining room. The waiter asked us what we wanted and just 10 seconds of delay opened a window of opportunity for him to suggest ordering the entire meal for us. We agreed, oblivious to the immediate gluttony we were about to partake in. First came fresh bread and antipasto de casa, which is not at all the typical diced tomato-salsa antipasto that I had become accustomed to. The quantities of the appetizers were more than enough to satisfy the entire table. Then, wedding soup and lobster bisque, salads and entrees to follow. Our boisterous server continued to bring dish after dish in such a fashion that we could each sample a bit of everything, delightful! Just when we though we could eat no more, along came the dessert train, carrying biscotti, tiramisu, tortoni, cannoli and zeppole. Ay ya ya! The service and food was above and beyond anything I've ever come across and made this dining experience a memorable one.
